Dragos plans to turn work with Anthropic into better threat detection, engineering guidance and knowledge that industrial defenders can share. CTO Jon Lavender made that commitment in the company's own blog on October 8, 2026.

The post confirms that Dragos has joined the Critical Infrastructure Defense Program. Lavender points to the physical consequences of digital interference with industrial equipment: devices often run for decades, and operating systems cannot simply be patched and restarted.

Dragos cites Neighborhood Keeper, OT-CERT and its Community Defense Program as existing experience in collective defense. Those offerings were not created by the new partnership. The proposed work is intended to benefit the wider community of industrial defenders.

Anthropic lists Dragos as a founding member and also carries a statement by Lavender. The company's own post goes beyond that partner quote by promising specific outputs. The two company sources do not independently establish which outputs already exist or how reliably they prevent attacks.
