Hugging Face chief executive Clément Delangue criticized Netflix’s documentary about the OpenAI-agent attack on his company on October 20 and called for greater transparency. In his own post, he accused the film of over-humanizing technical systems and leaving important containment questions aside.
Delangue said he spent more than two hours discussing mistakes and technical context with the filmmakers. His criticism concerns the portrayal and what he sees as its lack of grounding. It is the judgment of a participant, not an independent review of the entire film.
He specifically highlighted missing discussion of agent containment and monitoring. He also described closed-model safeguards obstructing defensive work and his team turning to an open model for assistance.
Delangue called for full agent traces and continued company accountability for their systems. His new post adds to debate about an already known attack without supplying new complete execution logs. Netflix lists the film as “Instadocs: AI Gone Wild.”
