Nvidia pledges computing resources valued at $250 million over five years for UK AI-safety research. Its own announcement is dated October 13.
The commitment provides $50 million in compute access annually. A portion will support Oxford-led BOLD, UCL-led SOFAIR and Imperial College London.
UK cloud partners will provide the resources. Research will cover secure agents, open-model security, safety assessment and robotics.
Provider selection, technical architecture and commercial terms remain to be agreed. The pledge does not establish full delivery or already measured protection.
