Jensen Huang would stop supplying chips to a customer developing unsafe AI. Nvidia’s chief told Bloomberg interviewer Emily Chang in London on October 14.
He was explicitly answering a hypothetical question. He would speak with the customer before taking that step.
Huang stressed that Nvidia does not run other companies and faces limits in judging their use of its technology. Bloomberg also reports that he considers current AI concerns excessive.
No affected customer or actual supply cutoff is identified. The accessible interview passage also announces no formal safety criterion.
