Jensen Huang considers warnings of AI ending humanity by 2030 unfounded. In CBS News’s own interview report, updated September 20, Nvidia’s chief puts that probability at zero. This is his judgment, not a scientifically established risk estimate.
Huang also argues against additional AI rules in that interview. He points to existing cybersecurity, unauthorized-entry and damage-liability laws, saying those should be applied first. It is a counterposition to calls for new AI-specific oversight.
Reuters repeats the remarks in its safety-debate overview, updated October 15, and explicitly credits CBS. That recap is not a second interview and does not turn the September statement into a new October announcement.
The reviewed passage announces no additional Nvidia safeguard. Nor does it establish that existing law covers every risk. Huang’s October 14 interview about a hypothetical supply cutoff for unsafe AI developers is a separate statement.
